In this docu-drama, a Dublin medical student heads off to vacation on the Blasket Islands off Ireland's west coast. There he falls in love with a native lassie, who is unfortunately enamored of another. Unfortunately, during a fateful fishing trip, her true love tumbles overboard and the doctor is unable to save him. Just before the hapless fellow dies, he manages to give the doctor and the girl his blessing. Included in the story are glimpses of actual life on the islands along with their music and dances.
