Jane has leaked the first chapter of Marin's new book to the New Yorker and it's a big hit. That's the good news. The bad news is that it's about Jack, and Marin didn't tell him about it. Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Jewel (playing herself) arrives in town and makes Theresa open up to Ben about her past; and Patrick welcomes Mai (Lauren Tom) as his stepmother, a generous gesture, perhaps, but Celia doesn't see it that way.
