Synopsis by Sandra Bencic
In this documentary, filmmaker Janks Morton explores one of the biggest issues facing the black community: a preponderance of single-mother households that results in large numbers of boys growing up without father-figures. Men II Boys addresses the importance of positive black-male role-models through interviews with prominent African-American men -- including Congressman Elijah E. Cummings, football player Daniel Wilcox, educator Freeman A. Hrabowski III, and journalist Jeff Johnson -- sharing their own inspirational stories about the journey to successful manhood.
