In the near future, a visionary scientist recalls his creation of the first androids—perfect replicas of deceased children. Centuries later, on a remote island, a small community of these childandroids lives in isolation, untouched by the world that made them. Their existence is disrupted by the arrival of a lone human teenager, the only one of her kind among them. Searching for a future beyond the island, she entrusts two androids with a mission: to return to their origins in New York and uncover the truth of their creation. Their journey will be their last—but it may also be their first step toward something greater.
