A television producer (Arturo Maly) wonders why Argentina never became once of the leading countries of the world, so he hires a Swiss historian along with two local journalists to find the answer to his question. The trio are to make three separate documentaries examining the social, political, historical, cultural, and economic factors that are unique to Argentina. Stock footage, interviews, and newspaper headlines are used in this fictional account that presents a realistic look at how the country's history is often repeated.
