Along with his collaborator André Singer, director Werner Herzog spends six months interviewing Mikhail Gorbachev, the final leader of the Soviet Union. Almost 30 years after being ousted from power, Gorbachev discusses his life and legacy, communism, nuclear war and Russia's current political climate.
