Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Delayed by a Hollywood writer's strike, the ninth season of M*A*S*H was launched on November 17, 1980 with this typically looney episode, wherein Charles (David Ogden Stiers) and Potter (Harry Morgan) face off in a bridge tournament. Inasmuch as the loser will serve the winner breakfast and bed for a week, both contestants are pretty choosy when it comes to selected bridge partners. Meanwhile, far removed from the fun and games, Hawkeye (Alan Alda) is captured by a North Korean, who demands that his wounded friend be saved from death--or else.
