Synopsis
Profiling the architect and designer (1869-1958) who pioneered the Southwestern style in her commissions for Santa Fe Railroad buildings near tourist attractions such as the Grand Canyon. Colter created, says narrator Gates McFadden, "a distinct sense of place shaped by the environment and molded by design and craftsmanship." Colter writings are read by Flo Di Re.
