Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Because she is so entertaining when she works behind the soda fountain at the local drug store, Mary Ellen (Dorothy Gish) decides that she is destined for a career on the stage. So she goes to the big city, but the best she can do is land a job singing in a third-rate cabaret. The cabaret's proprietor, William Gurson (Charles Gerrard), aka "Will the Weasel" decides to use her as a "baby vamp" to fleece a young man, Bob Fairacres (Ralph Graves), out of his dough. She goes along with it at first, but when she falls in love with her mark, the scheme falls apart. It turns out that Fairacres is from her very own hometown, so after the swindlers get their due, the newlywed couple honeymoons in the rural village from whence they came.
