Synopsis by Clarke Fountain

At the most distant region of the Pelopennesean peninsula in a land known as Mani, lives a group of very conservative, and clannish Greeks who have tenaciously retained their traditional way of life. This compelling documentary examines the lives of these people, and the reasons for their extraordinary conservatism. Though these proud people cling to their traditional ways, many of them have emigrated to other regions. One such place is on the "French" island of Corsica, where they maintain their own language and customs just as in Mani.
