Synopsis by Jackie Turner-Robinson
The Mandarin Magician is a martial arts classic and another release in Crash Cinema's "Old School Hits" series. The film features Sammo Hung in one of his first leading roles as a martial arts expert, and displays his skill in combining the fighting styles of Thai kick-boxing, Japanese karate, and Chinese kung-fu. The unique fighting choreography is the basis for the plot, as Hung is participating in a martial arts tournament in Bangkok, Thailand. A Chinese master defeated the Japanese at a prior international tournament, and the Japanese are seeking revenge with Hung as a key player in their scheme.
