Ben Dixon (Hobart Bosworth) is a middle-aged owner of a gold mine who falls for a young society girl. She breaks off their engagement when she cannot tolerate his unrefined manners. The disheartened Ben goes for a walk down by the river. While there, he saves a despondent woman from suicide and helps her regain the will to live. The experience allows Ben to move on after the loss of his relationship. Jamie Gray, William Conklin, and George Barnum also star in this confusing and uninspired melodrama.
