Synopsis by Janiss Garza

For the first few months of his film career, Oliver Hardy played mostly bit parts and supporting roles in Lubin split-reel comedies. His talent, however, was not overlooked, and his name (he was then billed as Babe Hardy, which is what he was called in real life) was used to advertise the films in which he appeared. In this picture, his antics as a grocery boy stand out. Auntie (Eva Bell) comes to visit Jack (Vincente DePascale) and Grace (Virginia Capen). Jack hopes to make her stay a brief one by pretending to be a madman. The maid, however, catches him working his crazy act on Grace and decides he really has gone mad, prompting her and the grocery boy (Hardy) to fetch the chief of police (Raymond McKee). Grace goes to a neighbor's home, and when Auntie shows up, Jack chases after her. He is arrested for murdering his wife, but Grace comes down to the courthouse to straighten things out. Jack decides he would rather stay behind bars than go home.
