Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Based on the nonfiction book by journalists Andre Cedilot and Andre Noel, this mob thriller shows a fictionalized version of the Canadian mafia’s long-term rule. The story follows the life of Sicilian-originated mobster godfather Frank Paterno (Sergio Castellitto), who reigns in the underworld of Quebec where he started grooming local boy Vince Gamache (Marc-André Grondin), the son of the clean-cut tailor dressing up their mob clan for years. But as Vince gains notoriety and power, Frank’s son starts to get jealous, resulting in a bloody rivalry between families. Directed by Daniel Grou.
