This film follows the history of the Italian Mafia, also known as the Cosa Nostra, from its beginnings in Europe as a rebellious answer to the corrupt Italian government, to its ascent to a position of infamy in the New York crime scene at the helm of illegal activities from prostitution, to gambling, to drugs.
