Review by Robert Firsching

Horror fans watching this unremarkable slasher film from director Joe Giannone might get the feeling they've seen lead actress Alexis Dubin somewhere before. That's because she's really Gaylen Ross from Dawn of the Dead and Creepshow, slumming with some nude scenes and an overly melancholic character in a fairly depressing picture. Incessant close-ups of Marz's (obviously rubber) clawed feet will provoke giggles, but as the film lurches and drags through an interminably non-suspenseful 88 minutes, only genre completists with completely undiscriminating tastes are likely to be frightened or entertained. This is not a criticism based on the fact that it's a slasher film, either, because during the subgenre's heyday (1980-1982), at least two dozen films better than this one made their way to theaters, making Anchor Bay's deluxe restored widescreen DVD presentation all the more puzzling.
