Synopsis by Sally Barber

Christopher Plummer narrates Madeline and the Toy Factory, an animated film based on the book by Ludwig Bemelmans. The adventure begins when Miss Clavell takes Madeline -- the beloved French schoolgirl -- and her classmates to a Paris toy factory. The mischievous Madeline leaps onto a toy conveyor belt and is boxed up with a shipment of dolls. She is purchased for an ailing child, Giselle, who thinks Madeline is a miraculous talking doll. When Miss Clavell and company discover the missing girl's whereabouts, Madeline must find a way to alleviate Giselle's disappointment, and in the process, she learns that people's feelings are more important than playing games. The heartwarming video delivers its serious lesson with all the playful spirit and good-hearted energy Madeline is loved for.
