Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
Hong Kong horror icon Lam Ching-ying stars in this low-budget horror yarn directed by Billy Chan Wui-ngai. Uncle Ying is an office custodian by day and by night a Taoist priest known as "the Guide of Six Gods." When his fortune-telling business hits the skids and he is evicted from his office building, he and his pupils squat in an abandoned house which just happens to be haunted by the beautiful Kuen (Jacqueline Law Wai-kuen) and her thuggish, misogynous husband. When Ying casts a spell on the husband, making him disappear, Kuen agrees to help Ying teach his students in the finer points of the supernatural. Meanwhile, a band of thieves invade the house, looking for some buried gold. When Kuen scares them away, the criminals return to the house with Ying's villainous rival.
