This version of Pabst's famed 1929 film Die Buechse Der Pandora/Pandora's Box, is set in the United States and is told with title cards rather than spoken dialogue. It is the story of a young woman who uses sex to rise in society and marry wealthy men. Unfortunately all her marriages end in accidental death until she marries her mentor and ends up killing him. After doing time in prison, she eventually becomes a hooker who is victimized by Jack the Ripper.
