Synopsis by Bhob Stewart
Stockholm-based multimedia artists Johan Soderberg and Erik Pauser work under the umbrella name "Lucky People Center." Together they wrote, directed and edited this flash-cut Swedish documentary that uses a pulsing techno beat behind an unspooling montage of images, conversations, rants, interviews (New Mexico shaman Franklin Bearchild Eriacho), performance art (Tokyo banker Toshiji Mikawa), poetry (Alexander Brener) and dance (Indian dancer Pragati Sood). Filmed over several years in different corners of the world with Russian, English, Japanese and other dialogue. Shown at the 1998 Vancouver Film Festival.
