Synopsis by Bhob Stewart
Don Boyd wrote and directed this British drama inspired by Sir Walter Scott's novel The Bride of Lammermoor and Gaetano Donizetti's opera Lucia de Lammermoor. Members of a small opera company meet at a Scottish mansion for a performance of the Donizetti opera, and the lives of the performers begin to parallel their onstage characters. Shot with a transfer from video to 35mm. Shown at the 1998 Toronto Film Festival.
