Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Love's Lariat was one of the earliest feature-film efforts of director George Marshall, whose career extended well into the early 1970s. Collaborating with Marshall on the direction was the film's star, weather-beaten western hero Harry Carey. The story is set in motion when cowboy protagonist Sky High (Carey) inherits a fortune -- but only on condition that he take up residence in his family's Eastern mansion. A jealous relative tries to remove Sky High from the scene by hiring vaudeville actress Goldie Le Croix (played by Carey's wife Olive Golden) to lure him back to the Old Frontier. But Goldie falls in love with Sky High, and together they expose the duplicitous relative's skullduggery.
