Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Love Never Dies was set in France, and convincingly so (which was not often the case in American-made films of this period). It is established in the first reel that hero Felix and heroine Cecile have been sweethearts since childhood. Later on, Fate forces Felix and Cecile to separate, but viewers could take heart in the positive sentiments expressed by the film's title. Dorothy Clark and Ruth Stonehouse shared the role of Cecile, who ages from 10 to 20 in the course of the film, while Felix was played as a youth by (Maurice Kusell and as an adult by Franklin Farnum. Though nothing special, Love Never Dies was an unassuming little audience pleaser that paid its way wherever it was shown.
