Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Nine-year-old Patty Barnes (Madge Evans) fancies herself a bold brave pirate captain, even though her "crew" consists of kids her own age and their "booty" is comprised of driftwood, seashells and other such flotsam. Patty's grandfather, retired sea captain Amos Barnes (Jack Drumler), is amused by her imaginary buccaneering and gives her a clear field to live out her fantasies. Amos' contentious next-door neighbor Mrs. Gaythorne (Kate Lester) uses her influence to adopt Patty, in hopes of transforming the hoydenish heroine into a "lady." But Patty will have none of this, and after several zany misadventures Mrs.Gaythorne concedes defeat and allows the girl to return to her "Gramper."
