Synopsis by Jinko Labitag
In Iran, infidelity is punished with death. That is why Sahad and Leila, two people who have been in an adulterous relationship for a number of years now, are determined to flee the country with their four-year-old love child, Mani. The documentary film Love Child follows the family as they travel to Turkey to find safety, revealing their past in the process. Their fates now depend on their documents: paternity test results, divorce papers, and the proof of their persecution. Directed by Eva Mulvad.
