Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Comedienne Alice Day -- the less-successful sister of Marceline Day -- has some impressive comic support in this two-reel, Mack Sennett-produced short. A mother (hefty funnywoman Sunshine Hart) is trying to find wealthy mates for her spinster daughter (Barbara Tennant) and shiftless son (Jack Cooper). When Alice (Day) comes to town, at first she is mistaken for a servant, but then it is discovered that her father is an Oklahoma oil millionaire. The mother forces a match between Alice and her son, while she tries to get a young man (Raymond McKee) interested in her daughter. The young man is more interested in Alice, and rushes to stop the wedding ceremony between her and the son. Luckily, the Justice of the Peace is having some problems -- he drops his glasses and has to use the mother's lorgnette to continue the ceremony -- so the hero is able to get there in time.
