The title of this British reality series was meant to be taken literally. At the start of each season, six people (plus three cameramen) were whisked off to a far-flung (and unidentified) corner of the world. Each team of two players was given 200 American dollars, a survival kit, and a three days' supply of food. The object of the game was for the contestants to figure out where they were, and to return to London as quickly as possible. The winners received 5,000 pounds and the chance to play the game again for even more money. Packaged by Windfall Films, Lost debuted in England in 2001, and was quickly followed by an American version.
