Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This odd little Argentine drama gets under way when a pair of wealthy spinsters adopt the son of a washerwoman. This they do to provide a companion for their spoiled-brat nephew. Growing into maturity, the lads remain polar opposites: the adopted boy is strong and resourceful, the nephew weak and wishy-washy. When both boys fall in love with the same girl, the nephew resorts to drastic -- and unfair -- measures to win her hand. Incredibly, the adopted suitor, out of gratitude to the old ladies, nobly steps aside, allowing the girl to choose the "wrong man."
