Filmmaker Darius Marder follows treasure hunter Lance Larson as he sets out in search of the elusive riches buried by two World War II veterans, in the process freeing ghosts that had lain dormant for over sixty years. In the aftermath of that historical war, one of the veterans buried treasure in Austria as the other stashed his booty in the Philippines. The odds that Larson will unearth either man's plunder are slim to none, though as the search gets underway both veterans are forced to answer questions that had been willfully forgotten since those fateful last shots of World War II were fired. Perhaps by resolving the past, these two optimistic veterans could somehow transform the present and find something to leave behind for their loved ones at home.
