Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Englishman Wade Hildreth (Darrel Foss) is sent to America by his employer, Richard Carlow. His assignment is to pick up a diamond necklace that Carlow bought from Arabin, a dealer (Wadsworth Harris). A gang of crooks, headed by Pete Fielding, better known as the Shadow (Joe Girard), also want the necklace -- and more. They create a complicated plan, which begins when two of them meet Hildreth at the pier in a taxi. Hildreth is aware there is intrigue afoot and he manages to evade the clutches of the gang temporarily. Morn Light (Ora Carew), who is being pursued romantically by the Shadow, decides to help Hildreth, but the crooks finally capture him. They take his letter of introduction to the unsuspecting Arabin, who they promptly overpower. Not only do they steal the necklace, they also loot his jewelry store. The crooks take off on the Shadow's yacht, but a detective (Arthur Mackley) figures out where they have gone and captures them. After their ordeal, Hildreth and Morn unite.
