Synopsis by Alice Day
Throughout history, man has looked for ways to improve the speed and efficiency of movement across the land. In Look and Learn - The Young Geographer: Land Transport, students will learn what methods were used in the early days of transportation, and how changes have occurred over the years. As technological advances were developed, some transport means fell out of favor as others became more popular. Speed, efficiency, and safety are primary concerns for effective transportation, and the challenges faced by early transport designers are discussed in the program.
