Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Samanthy, a foundling (Margarita Fisher, still being billed as Margarita Fischer here), lives in an orphan asylum where she is loved by all the children and by Tom, the gardener. The only person who seems to bear the teenager any ill will is the superintendent, Sarah Prue (Lucille Ward). Her treatment of Samanthy is so cruel that the girl finally runs away to the woods. There she is found by a handsome young man, George Stuart, who takes her home. After dressing her up in nice clothes which emphasize her beauty he falls in love with her. But his father firmly takes Samanthy back to the orphanage, and the truth comes out -- Samanthy is the daughter of the elder Stuart's partner. When the partner died, Stuart left the infant on the steps of the asylum. While he has been enjoying the fortune that should have gone to Samanthy, Sarah Prue has also been blackmailing him. Stuart now confesses and the newly wealthy Samanthy takes the asylum children to a soda fountain to celebrate.
