Synopsis by Forrest Spencer
The U.S. band Living Colour combines various elements of rock, jazz, blues, and soul into their music, a blend that is both engaging and entertaining. Discovered by Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger, the band soon found themselves signed with Epic Records and opening for the Stones on tour. Guitarist Vernon Reid, bass player Muzz Skillings, and drummer Will Calhoun released their debut album Vivid in the mid-'80s, which reached the Top Ten on the U.S. charts. This video contains clips of their earlier songs plus selections from their Time's Up album, including "Funny Vibe," "Fight the Fight," "Sailin' On," "It's Only Rock 'N Roll," "Cult of Personality" and "Pride."
