Synopsis by Hal Erickson
An amusingly cynical glimpse at British civil politics, the four-part miniseries Little Napoleons starred Norman Beaton and Saeed Jaffrey as immigrant South London notaries N.K. Edwards and Vijay Shah. Fighting tooth and nail over a town council post in multiracial North London, the two protagonists learn a lot more than they probably cared to know about how the political system really works. Not that either Edwards or Shah were babes in the woods; indeed, their own political shenanigans would at times have shamed the Borgias. Little Napoleons was telecast over Britain's Channel 4 in 1993.
