Synopsis by Janiss Garza

While this States Rights' drama is marginally related to a picture by the same name released several years earlier, the subject matter here involves drugs, not white slave-trading. Naive small-town boy James Manning (James Morrison) comes to the city and gets a job running errands. When he discovers that his employers are opium smugglers, he tries to run away, but ring leader Tug Wilson (Mitchell Lewis) frightens Manning into staying and uses him to solicit customers for Wilson's gambling den. One of the crook's other underlings, Milly Amory (Pauline Starke), falls in love with Manning, but Manning has a sweetheart back home, Mary Slocum (Carmel Myers), and she comes to find him. To get rid of the girl, Milly poses as a medium and warns her away, until Manning finds out and exposes the ruse to Mary.
