Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Lloyd Lonergan, the busy scribe of Thanhouser films, penned a two-reel version of Charles Dickens' immortal tale of the kindhearted young woman who comes to the aid of a young man languishing in debtor's prison. Maude Fealy, a delicate brunette, was cast as the adult Little Dorrit, with handsome, curly haired William Russell as Arthur Clennam, James Cruze as Mr. Dorrit and Gerda Holmes, Harry Benham, and Sidney Bracey filling Dickens' colorful character gallery. According to at least one trade reviewer, the production was "of such merit that it could safely be used for educational purposes."
