The Opéra National de Paris mounted this production of Gioachino Rossini's 1813 L'Italiana in Algeri in 1998. It stars Simone Alaimo as Mustafà, Jeannette Fischer as Elvira, Maria José Trullu as Zulma, Anthony Smith as Haly, and Bruce Ford as Lindoro. The Orchestra and Chorus of the Opéra National de Paris provide musical accompaniment, with Bruno Campanella conducting and David Levi serving as chorus master; Marina Draghici designed the sets and costumes; and Andrei Serban directs for the stage.
