Louise (Isabel Sanford) is worried that her son, Lionel (Mike Evans), is beginning to pick up the bad habits of her husband, George (Sherman Hemsley). It is bad enough when he starts behaving in George's overbearing manner in the Jefferson apartment; it is worse when he tries to bribe a political campaign committee to give his fiancée, Jenny (Berlinda Tolbert), a cushy government job. Meanwhile, Jenny's parents, Helen and Tom (Roxie Roker and Franklin Cover), find themselves on different sides during an election -- a situation helped not in the slightest by the blustering George. "Like Father, Like Son" was first telecast on April 5, 1975.
