Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Buddy Roosevelt and Carol Lane played a sort of sagebrush Romeo and Juliet in this low-budget oater produced by Trem Carr. J.P. McGowan and Frank Earle play feuding ranchers whose offspring fall in love. Another rancher schemes to take over the strip of land that is the source of the feud, and the rivals settle their differences to go after him. A typical late silent era oater made for what looks like pennies, Lightnin' Shot was directed by the veteran J.P. McGowan, the former husband of serial queen Helen Holmes.
