Synopsis by Hal Erickson
According to contemporary reports, the actors in this Lubin drama weren't quite up to the demands of the story. Rescued from drowning, a young fisherman recovers in the home of a well-to-do couple. Our hero falls in love with the couple's daughter -- which does not sit well with the girl's sweetheart, who'd been one of the young man's rescuers. Upset over this turn of events, the jilted suitor commits suicide by walking into the sea. At this, the girl is stricken with grief, forsaking her new boyfriend to weep over the corpse of her former love. Carrying this pointless display of histrionics to its logical conclusion, the heroine kills herself as well.
