Falling into a giant magic hat at Six Flags Over Texas, young Mark (Butch Patrick) emerges in Lidsville, a magical community populated almost entirely by anthropomorphic headgear. Captured by the minions of evil magician Horatio W. Hoo Doo (Charles Nelson Reilly), Mark manages not only to escape but to appropriate Hoo Doo's magic ring, thereby liberating one Weenie the Genie (Billie Hayes). This first episode of Lidsville quickly establishes hero, villain, and premise but does not even begin to introduce all of the series' colorful characters, both "hat" and otherwise.
