In this comedy, a WWI veteran gets married after receiving his bonus money from the government. His meddlesome aunts then attempt to tell him how the tidy sum should be spent. He listens and reluctantly invests in oil. Trouble ensues when con men appear in town and attempt to sell every one phony petroleum futures. Later the nephew begins drilling himself and by the film's end has struck real oil.
