Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith
Kathy Blake and Gene Russo venture out onto the dance floor and demonstrate many of the basic steps that have turned the Cuban Rumba into a truly popular dance. Viewers are taught the box step, the different promenade movements, the rocking steps, the Cuban Motion, and other key footwork. It's a versatile dance for slow songs and fast rock & roll tunes. Many dancers enjoy doing the Rumba because they like the romantic feel of its pace and movements. Dancers interested in learning more complicated Rumba steps may want to obtain copies of volumes two and three in this video series.
