Synopsis by Gönül Dönmez-Colin
A small Marseilles soccer club sees a way out of its difficulties by playing in an amateur soccer championship held during the World Cup and calling the game the 'World Cuplet.' While tempers run high, everyone has to ensure that there is no foul play. Les Collegues was the only fiction feature shot during the 1998 World Cup in France. The subject of the film is appealing to soccer fans, while its humor makes it a passable film for other audiences.
