Synopsis by Sean Hurley
Lempad was the island of Bali's greatest artist up until his death at the incredible age of 116. Set against the changing political and economic fortunes of Bali, co-director Lorne Blair delivers a splendid biography of this amazingly prolific artist. The film features examples of Lempad's work from his diverse range of artistic interests (drawing, painting, sculpture, and architecture.) Also, the film presents the elaborate preparations for Lempad's cremation ceremony after his death.
