Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Feeling sorry for the cute caged animals in Olive Oyl's pet shop, Popeye pulls out a huge wad of cash and buys out the entire store. He then frees the animals (mostly dogs) and encourages them to scamper to freedom. The only pet left behind is a talking parrot, who has no intention of leaving. When Popeye asks why, the parrot performs the title song "Leave Well Enough Alone", explaining that he'd rather stay where he's safe than take his chances in the outside world--and Popeye soon learns the hard way that the wise old bird makes a whole lot of sense.
