Synopsis by Mark Deming
Deanie, a young boy in Tunisia, lives in a world of dire poverty and constant strife between his parents. Deanie is left behind when his parents move to France in hopes of a better life, but one day he happens to see a movie for the first time, and the magical spectacle transforms his thinking in a way his friends can't understand.
