A woman convict is allowed three days out from prison to visit her mother's grave. There she meets a young man and the two fall in love. He mistakes her for a woman of virtue, while she is unaware the man is involved in a counterfeiting scheme. Soon the police and his old gang are after the man, who accompanies the woman back to prison with a promise he will come for her. The man is taken to jail and the hopeful woman continues to wait for his return.
