Heroic collie Lassie and her young friend, Timmy (Jon Provost), are pitted against the elements in this outdoor adventure adapted from the popular Lassie television series. Lassie and Timmy find themselves aboard a hot-air balloon when a windstorm tears the balloon from its moorings, and the boy and his dog are carried by the storm into the wilderness. Lost in the rugged forests of Canada, Lassie and her master must fight to survive and they try to find a way home. Also starring June Lockhart, Hugh Reilly, and Richard Kiel, Lassie's Great Adventure was edited from a special four-part Lassie series called The Journey; the episodes first aired in 1963.
