Synopsis by Mark Deming
In this look at the sordid underbelly of the entertainment industry, Angie (Lorissa McComas) is a young woman who wants to make it big as an actress. However, after coming to Hollywood, she makes the unfortunate discovery that she doesn't have much talent. However, if no one likes her acting, everyone likes her body, and on the advice of her friend Claudia (Tane McClure) she takes a job at a "gentleman's club," where a beer costs more than the costumes the dancers are almost wearing. After making a hard-earned living taking it off for audiences of increasingly sleazy men, and learning more about her co-workers Sandy (Kim Dawson) and Irene (Chanda), Angie discovers that suffering has been good for her art, and it looks like she may have a second chance at a film career after all when she meets a once-successful movie director. Director Mike Sedan also appears in a supporting role as Jeff.
